I’m a former Wall Street broker. At the time; I was a slave to my business because I didn’t know any other way to make big money. I was working 10-12 long dreaded hours, making 300-500 calls daily, just hoping to have that one guy say "yes." During that time, I was mainly concerned with my own agenda - paying my bills and supporting my lifestyle.

There was no way I could see myself doing this job year after year. It’s pretty sad when you have corporate burnout at 26. I started to wonder, if everyone is following the same traditional route of, "get a good education, then a job and work hard for a living", why do the majority of Americans feel stuck in a rut?

As I was searching for something more, my friend James approached me with this opportunity. Being a New Yorker, I told him, "get a real job". What he was doing was outside the norm of what I thought it took to be successful. To say the least, I was skeptical. I wanted proof. A year into the business, I started noticing a shift in James, not only in his confidence, but his belief in himself and even his lifestyle. Yes, he was very focused and working the business consistently, but I also saw him being able to go mountain biking, snowboarding, and do all the things that I had no time or energy for. A year and a half in, he was making $30K - $50K/month, consistently. I wanted in.

Thanks to James, I now make more money in a month then I ever did on Wall Street. Although I had the same potential on Wall Street, I just didn’t have the passion. In this business, I now focus on leading others, instead of focusing on myself. The more I put others’ needs above my own, the more success I have. I now have the freedom to do what I love; surfing, mountain biking, writing music and traveling. More importantly, when I have kids, they will never see the inside of a daycare.

I am now leading others to financial freedom, instead of risking their fortunes on Wall Street. To me, that’s fulfilling and something to stand for.
